Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and taking the time to learn more about a great cause, the Dr. Sheila Moore Fund for Kids with Cancer and Blood Disorders (Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital Baton Rouge, LA). I'm a childhood cancer survivor (leukemia-age 4) and also an upcoming competitor on Season 11 of American Ninja Warrior. My story of overcoming cancer and eventually being able to have a child of my own even though the experts said it couldn't happen was one of the main reasons I feel I was selected for the show. I hope my story can inspire others and in the process raise some much needed money for a great cause.
When I was diagnosed with leukemia (AML) I was fortunate that I was able to receive treatment close to home. Not all families are this fortunate. Because of this, I want to support a cause in which the funds stay close to home, but also support families who need to travel for treatment. The Dr. Sheila Moore Fund for Kids with Cancer and Blood Disorders achieves both of these goals. Donations made to this fund will support patient assistance for travel, hotel rooms, clinic equipment, playroom equipment, child life needs as well as the all important "No Mo Chemo" parties. I encourage you to watch my video application for American Ninja Warrior and donate to a great cause. Watch for me in the Oklahoma City Regional!
